The favorite
Denny Hamlin arrives fresh off a victory in the All-Star Race at Dover. And even if it wasn’t a points race, arriving at Charlotte after starting from the pole and leading 103 laps in last week’s exhibition could give him the momentum he needs to catch the checkered flag at the Coke 600. His first and only victory in that race came in 2022. In 2025, he started 20th but finished 16th after setting the fastest lap of the day in 29.37 and led 53 laps.
Distant plan to watch
Although Katherine Legge is at the very bottom of this odds board, she is one fans may want to watch this weekend as she attempts to complete the Memorial Day weekend double in motorsports. His day will begin at the Indy 500 as it begins at the Brickyard. Then, weather permitting, she will finish her day on the track in Charlotte. Tony Stewart is the only driver to have covered all 1,100 miles of the Double and that was in 2001.
