Davis graduated from West Virginia with a master of science degree in sports management in 2025. He was set to compete for a spot on Sam Houston State’s team and said the campus felt like home.
“Sam Houston felt like home from the moment I stepped foot on campus,” he said via Nilson Sports. “As a kid from Virginia who had played every football game of my life within a short drive of my home, it was important to me to play in a place where I fit right into the culture if I had to be so far away geographically.”
