During a trip to Montreal, Canada, Lee showed off her failed attempt at skiing with a photo and video of her lying on her stomach on skis after falling right in front of the slope entrance. She claims this will be the last time she tries skiing.

“First time skiing,” she wrote. “Oh my God, never again.”

A video of her lying on the snow, taken by her friend Samira Ahmed and shared in Lee’s own story, showed the gymnast laughing as she squirmed in the snow. The caption for this video read: “This is why I stay off the slopes.”

While fans can certainly expect to not see Lee compete at the upcoming Milan Olympics in 2026, his skiing struggles are certainly not due to a lack of athleticism or coordination.

She has also received numerous high-profile sports honors and awards, including in 2021, when she was named Female Athlete of the Year by Sports Illustrated and Sportswoman of the Year by the Women’s Sports Foundation. She was even included in the Time Magazine 100, which is the annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
