The Spaniard was on pole in 2023 but could only finish fourth, but the four-time IndyCar champion already has three victories to his name this season.
Chevrolet’s David Malukas will also be keen to try his luck after finishing second to Palou 12 months ago. This is the American’s first Indy 500 with ECR’s Team Penske and he is also on the front row, alongside Alexander Rossi, who won in 2016 on his debut.
