Paris Jackson has opened up about how her bond with her late father Michael Jackson has changed over the years, especially now that her life is back in the spotlight following the 2026 Michael biopic.
In a podcast conversation with Jack Osbourne on Try not to dieParis spoke about what it’s like growing up as the daughter of a global superstar.
The 28-year-old model and actress said that in the past she felt obligated to share details about her life, but now she realizes she doesn’t owe the public every part of her story.
She went on to explain that she was now more comfortable keeping her relationship with her father private.
Paris added that this was something very personal to her and that she didn’t need explanation or public approval.
She then reflected on the effects she still faces after losing her father at a young age, as she was only 11 when Michael Jackson died in 2009.
The star said she’s still learning how to deal with public curiosity about their relationship.
Speaking about the biopic, Paris Jackson added that she feels that many parts of the film are not accurate and do not reflect the truth as she knows it.
She said she gave her opinion, but then walked away from it.
His brother Prince Jackson participated in the project and shared that seeing their cousin portray Michael on screen was emotional and very surreal for the family.
