Chief of Defense Force (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir on Wednesday visited Zhob district of Balochistan to spend Eidul Azha with the troops deployed along the western borders, asserting that inhumane and brutal acts cannot weaken the resolve of the nation.
According to the military news agency Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit began with Eid prayers, during which special prayers were offered for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the martyrs who laid down their lives to defend the country.
“Field Marshal Munir extended Eid greetings to officers and soldiers and lauded their exceptional courage, steadfast determination, operational preparedness and unwavering vigilance in the face of foreign-sponsored terrorism,” it read.
The marshal paid tribute to the troops for their courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the country, saying they had demonstrated “unparalleled courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation against the menace of terrorism and hostile threats sponsored by hostile forces.”
Referring to the recent terrorist incident in Quetta, orchestrated by Indian sponsored organizations, Fitna al-Hindustan and its proxies, he said: “Such inhumane and brutal acts cannot weaken the resolve of the Pakistani armed forces or the nation. The morale and resolve of the troops and people of Pakistan remain unwavering.”

He further reiterated that “the armed forces, in close coordination with the law enforcement agencies and people of Balochistan, would continue to pursue with full force all facilitators, accomplices and perpetrators of terrorism.”
On arrival, the Marshal was received by Corps Commander Quetta and also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhadapaying tribute to the martyrs of the nation.

A powerful explosion ripped through a passenger shuttle train near Chaman Phatak early Sunday morning while it was traveling from Quetta Cantonment station to the city railway station. At least 14 people were killed, including three members of the Frontier Corps (FC), and 20 others were injured in one of the deadliest attacks in the provincial capital in recent months.
