At least six dead and several injured in the explosion of the Multan oil tanker

The explosion of a gas tanker truck in an illegal LPG warehouse in the Hamid Pure Kanora region in Multan, killed at least six people and injured the local authorities on Monday.

The explosion occurred during the industrial zone filling operations, triggering a massive fire and sending debris in neighboring residential areas.

Among the dead are a minor girl and two women, while 13 of the wounded remain in critical condition.

The explosion reduced 20 ruined houses and partially damaged 70 others.

The authorities confirmed that the explosion took place in an illegal LPG filling warehouse.

The tank truck would have transferred smuggling LPG to tanker trucks and smaller bottles on the site.

Five other warehouse tankers were destroyed in the explosion.

Police and rescue teams conduct research operations in adjacent areas to ensure safety.

Residents were advised to avoid the explosion site due to persistent gases in the air.
