Stefon Diggs has broken his silence on his relationship with Cardi B, insisting the couple is “great” despite being caught in a very public argument last month, although the question of whether they are actually back together remains firmly unanswered.
Talk to TMZ In a video posted Wednesday, the NFL star, 32, was asked about her current status with the rapper.
“She’s the mother of my child. I love her to death,” he declared, before adding with a smile: “You have to ask her.”
When asked about the coffee shop confrontation that went viral in May, with footage showing Cardi visibly animated while Diggs stood calmly leaning against a car, he downplayed it entirely.
“What argument? I don’t even think it’s an argument,” he said, noting that he himself had remained calm throughout.
When the interviewer pointed out that Cardi had seemed considerably less calm, Diggs got philosophical. “It doesn’t matter… women are like that sometimes. »
Cardi herself had been similarly light-hearted about the whole episode when it first made headlines, turning to X to offer a typically matter-of-fact explanation.
“Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity,” she wrote. “Damn, don’t you ever insult your baby when you’re hungry?”
The argument had come as a surprise given that the two had just been seen getting together at Diggs’ Mother’s Day wellness event, where they were photographed kissing and with his arm around her waist, a very public display of affection that suggested a reconciliation was in the works.
Diggs and Cardi became Instagram official in June 2025, after starting dating earlier that year.
They split in February, shortly after welcoming a son together.
The on-off nature of their relationship continues, it seems, with Diggs keen to emphasize the warmth between them while leaving Cardi to work out the finer details.
