KARACHI: The Sindh government will release the matric results by July 10 and intermediate results by July 31, the education ministry spokesperson said on Thursday.
The decision was taken at a meeting of all education boards chaired by Sindh Provincial Minister for Universities and Education Boards Ismail Rahoo.
According to the spokesperson, the meeting reviewed the annual matric and intermediate examinations conducted across Sindh.
All school boards informed the meeting about the exams held in their respective divisions.
Rahoo ordered that matric results should be released in all divisions of Sindh by July 10, while all education boards should release intermediate results by July 31.
During the briefing, officials said that the education boards would release the results of classes 9 and 11 by August 31.
“The results should be released on time so that students can get timely assistance during admission,” the minister said.
He said all possible support would be provided to improve transparency, merit and examination system in school boards.
The meeting was also informed that cases have been registered against several persons for violation of section 144 during examinations in Karachi.
The annual exams took place in April and will end in mid-June.
The exams have been mired in controversy amid widespread allegations of corruption, paper leaks and serious administrative shortcomings.
