- Reliable Insider Nate the Hate Claims It Will Air the Week After Summer Games Fest
- A release date for Fire Emblem: The Weave of Fortune And Bloods of Twilight has not yet been announced
The next major Nintendo Direct showcase would air next week, according to reliable leaker Nate the Hate.
In a new YouTube video, Nate the Hate responded to fans’ expectations for a new Direct soon and claimed it would air the week after Summer Games Fest (via VGC).
“It’s June and we’re hoping there will be a Direct in the near future,” the industry insider said. “Do these claims have merit? When will Nintendo start discussing its plans for 2026 with us after Star Fox And Rhythm paradise And Splatoon Raiders? What does the rest of 2026 look like for Nintendo?
“We’ll have that answer very soon, from what I’ve heard the Nintendo Direct will be next week, the second week of June.”
Asked by his co-host, Modern Vintage Gamer: “Just to be clear, is it the week of the 8th?” Nate the Hate replied: “Yes. So we will have this Nintendo Direct very soon.”
If true, the Live would be the first major presentation in nine months, excluding dedicated broadcasts like Indie Worlds and Partner Showcases.
As the YouTuber said, Nintendo has not yet announced the release date of Fire Emblem: The Weave of Fortuneand FromSoftware has been rather discreet about its Switch 2 exclusivity, Bloods of Twilightsince its announcement last year.
Ancient Ring Tarnished edition was also announced for Switch 2, but was delayed in October last year until 2026, so we still have that to look forward to. A Summer Live would be the perfect time to share new details.
Nate also noted that “We need to educate ourselves about this Ocarina of time remake. Take a first look, see the ambition and scope of the project, if the rumors prove true, and see what other third-party studios are up to for the rest of the year.
In terms of first-party titles, Nintendo is releasing Star Fox June 25 and Splatoon Raiders on July 23, a direct sharing of new trailers for both could therefore be considered.
