As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, it’s no surprise that football fans around the world are looking back on their national team’s greatest moments. For England fans, that moment is the 1966 World Cup final at Wembley Stadium, which brought the team their only World Cup trophy with a 4-2 victory over West Germany.
To celebrate the upcoming tournament, Channel 4 is set to broadcast a colorized version of the iconic match at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday June 6. The match will be introduced by comedian David Badiel, with commentary from current and former English icons.
As Televisual reports, viewers can expect appearances from Sir Geoff Hurst, who scored three of the four goals that won England the trophy 60 years ago, as well as current England captain Harry Kane.
