Jim Cramer of Mad Money says “clean bitcoin, not microstrategy”

Former head of hedge funds Jim Cramer called to own Bitcoin (BTC), but not his biggest public holder Microstrategy, in the latest CNBC Mad Money segment on Monday evening.

“If you want to have Bitcoin, (you) clean Bitcoin,” said Cramer in response to a caller during the segment. “I have Bitcoin, you should have Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a good thing to have in your wallet. »»

“But not microstrategy,” he finished without further details or reasoning. Microstrategy is the largest world holder in the assets with more than 417,107 bitcoin, worth more than $ 48 billion at current prices, in its treasure on Monday.

But there may be reasons to encourage microstrate bulls and Bitcoin bears in the coming weeks. Cramer choices often tend to move in the long -term opposite direction, and it is often perceived as a signal historically associated with inverse bets.

A humorous internet theory called “reverse Cramer” even stimulated the creation of a short -lived inverse ETF in 2022 (before stopping at the beginning of 2024).

In January 2024, Cramer said Bitcoin was probably booming and called for an outing. The asset has increased by more than 100% since then.

BTC was negotiated at just over $ 103,000 in Asian morning hours, up 4% since Monday.
