- Changes have been identified in the Google Sounds application
- Pixel owners will soon be able to take more control over haptics
- The update could arrive next to the Android 16 update
Iphones are currently fighting Android devices in the way they allow you to define specific ringtones and vibrations for specific contacts on your phone – although Google intends to make up for some of these features on the best pixel phones.
As spotted by Tipster Nail Sadykov (via Android Authority), an upcoming version of the Google Sounds application allows you to choose vibrations in the same way you can choose the ringtones via the Sound and vibration Menu in settings.
This is not the specific customization specific to the contact available on iOS, but it is another more. There are 12 vibration models to choose for your applications and alerts, including Swoop, Snare, Heartbeat, Swirl, Buzz and Bumps.
Being able to take more control over vibration alerts is certainly a welcome upgrade: this means that you can increase or decrease the force of buzzing that your phone makes, depending on your personal preferences.
Integrated updates
Note that the Google Sound application is actually integrated into Pixel software: this is not something you can download and install separately. You should be able to find it from the parameters by typing Applications> see all applications.
When you select sounds, you should see the version number at the bottom of the screen. The current version at the time of the editorial staff is 3.1, while the updates of vibration customizations have been identified in version 3.2.
Exactly when Google plans to postpone the upgrade on the phones remains to be seen: with Android 16 now in the beta phase, it is possible that we will not get these options as long as Android 16 is officially launched in the coming months.
Your options will vary if you use a non -pixel device, depending on the features that the manufacturer of your phone has decided to add. In the case of Samsung Galaxy phones, for example, you can use the application of Samsung Sound Sound Assistant.
