The security forces managed to thwart a terrorist attack on a security position in the Gulistan district in the Qila Abdullah District of Balutchistan, on the night of January 27 to January 28.
The terrorists tried to violate the perimeter using a vehicle loaded with explosives after their initial assault was postponed, according to an inter-service public relations (ISPR).
In the exchange of fire that followed, the five attackers, including two suicide bomber, were neutralized.
Two soldiers, Naik Tahir Khan (39, from the Tank district) and launches Naik Tahir Iqbal (26, from the Karak district), fought valiantly but kissed martyrdom during the intense confrontation.
After the incident, a disinfection operation was launched in the region to locate and apprehend any remaining author.
National Afghan involved in killed terrorism, body delivered to Kabul: ISPR
A terrorist identified as an Afghan national was killed in Sambaza, Zhob district, Balutchistan, January 11, 2025, reported inter-service public relations (ISPR) last week.
The individual, Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel, son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, was a resident of the village of Bilorai in the Wazekhwa district, Paktika province, Afghanistan.
The deceased was involved in acts of terrorism in Pakistan, the ISPR said.
After carrying out legal formalities, Ahmedkhel’s body was given to actual Afghan government officials (IAG) on January 20.
The ISPR noted the incident as “irrefutable evidence of the participation of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan”. The soldiers urged Kabul to “fill his responsibilities” by ensuring that Afghan soil is not used to launch terrorist attacks against Pakistan.
