Floyd “Money” Mayweather built his fortune around his famous nickname. Now he may have some explaining to do.

The undefeated boxing icon faces a lengthy prison sentence after allegedly writing a bad check for a luxury watch in Las Vegas.

Clark County prosecutors have filed two serious criminal charges against the 49-year-old fighter, including theft of property worth more than $100,000 and passing a check with intent to defraud.

Authorities say Mayweather’s alleged theft stemmed from a shopping trip on New Year’s Eve 2024, when he set his sights on a rare Audemars Piguet watch.

Mayweather paid with a check for $200,000 from a Wells Fargo account, but the bank quickly returned it due to insufficient funds.

The store owners reportedly spent more than a year trying to recover the money discreetly.

They even sent a certified demand letter to avoid a public scandal, but Mayweather allegedly ghosted them.

A criminal summons followed, and Mayweather’s defense team appeared on his behalf in a Las Vegas court Monday.

If convicted on both counts, the self-made billionaire faces a maximum sentence of 24 years in prison.

This $200,000 bounced check appears to be just the tip of a huge financial iceberg.

A judge also recently ordered him to pay $1 million in child support to a former dancer, and he faces separate civil suits over unpaid bills for private jet services and rent on a luxury Manhattan apartment.

The aging star has quickly lined up a series of upcoming exhibition fights, alongside a highly anticipated September rematch against Manny Pacquiao.
