Clarkson’s Farm Episodes 7 and 8 of season 5 are now streaming on Prime Video – but they arrive with the shocking conclusion that Jeremy Clarkson has been diagnosed with cancer.
The diagnosis is revealed in the middle of episode 7, when Jeremy tells Kaleb and Charlie that he will be away for a significant portion of the year’s harvest.
He describes the cancer as “aggressive” but “at a very early stage”, hoping to be “in and out” for an operation in July 2025 but knowing his condition since May.
This ties in with Jeremy’s comments about the crew being “exhausted” and needing a “break from filming” that he made during the same month.
Nothing further is mentioned until the very last scene of episode 8, when an ambulance arrives at Diddly Squat. We cut to Jeremy in a hospital bed, who explains that his cancer treatment has “gone wrong.”
“If all goes well, I’ll see you again for season 6,” he concludes. “Otherwise, I won’t. Be careful, everyone.”
The scenes are painful to watch, with even Jeremy himself saying on Instagram that the final episodes of season 5 are a “tough watch.”
Despite this, there is a very good reason why fans should remain hopeful.
Clarkson’s Farm Season 6 Production Should Be a Positive Sign for Jeremy’s Health

However, that doesn’t mean the new series has been without problems. In a post on the show’s official Facebook page, the social team said: “Filming has already encountered a few obstacles along the way, including a production hiatus, testing positive for tuberculosis. [tuberculosis] testing and incessant rain earlier this year.
Although it can be assumed that the production shutdown was related to Jeremy’s treatment, this has not been confirmed.
In May 2025, around the same time Jeremy found out about his diagnosis, he told the Times: “I would do a sixth if there was a reason to do it, like a damn good story… Whatever happens, we’ll definitely take a little break because the crews are all exhausted.”
“We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everyone could use some rest.”
The release window for season 6 has been pushed back to summer 2027, meaning new episodes could be seen until August. Amazon has yet to make an official statement regarding the renewal.
