An independent professional wrestler’s schedule is already filled with shows, travel, media interviews, training and everything in between. Adding anything else to their plates would be an almost impossible task to manage.

Professional wrestling star Vinny Pacifico takes the challenge head on. He will be in a new film called “The Hours that Keep Us,” which features a talented cast from the sports and entertainment industries. The Tommy Dwyer-directed film will feature MMA stars Paige VanZant and Mickey Gall as well as actors Zack Ward and Chelsea Bray.

Pacifico, who was in “Mr. Reset and the Society of Turnbuckle & Bone” and “The Forsaken Few,” told PK Press Club Digital he was thrilled with the film’s casting.

“It’s going to be absolutely phenomenal,” Pacifico said. “The cast is crazy. We have Paige VanZant. We have Mickey Gall, Zack Ward, Chelsea Brea and Tommy Dwyer – he’s the director and he’ll be in it as well. … This movie has the craziest cast you can imagine and it’s really exciting. It’s going to be a really fun movie.

“It’s one of those things where you can sit back and say, wow, what a phenomenal group of people from all different industries – wrestling, MMA, film and so many different places. We have so many people in this movie. So many different fan bases. It’s really a beautiful thing.”

Pacifico said “The Hours that Keep Us” will be an anthology-style film with three different stories intertwining with each other.

“They’re all dark stories and they each have a connection,” he explained. “At the end of the day, it’s going to be special, it’s going to be different.”

Meanwhile, Pacifico is still struggling between filming.

He spoke to PK Press Club Digital about finding a balance between doing everything while keeping his mental health in check.

“It hasn’t been easy to be honest. I really haven’t had any time to myself or just to sit around because even in between, on the days that I’m not wrestling or doing film, I’m answering my emails, booking more stuff and doing media. … Mental health, I’ll be honest, I haven’t had time to think about it a lot,” he said. “Of course, in the entertainment world, we always go through moments of anxiety where we get mad at ourselves. We want more, we want this. We always criticize ourselves in wrestling and in movies, as an actor. We always look at ourselves like ‘What could we do better?’ But I haven’t had a lot of time to really sit down and think about things. I just go, go, go, which I’m grateful for.

“But it’s not easy because you have to really, mindfully take the time to step back and say, okay, I need a few minutes to just be with my family, with my friends or just focus a little bit on something that’s not work-related. If that consumes you, that’s not always a good thing. For me, it’s like, OK, I did what I needed to do today. When ‘Mr. Reset” came out, I had nine interviews in a row and then I went to the gym and then I had another interview and I said you know what? OK, I’m going to do these interviews, I’m going to go to the gym, I’m going to do everything, and then at 3 p.m., when I’m done with everything, I’m going to put my phone down and just be with my family and my wife and just live, I feel like you have to do these things mindfully.
