Olivia Rodrigo announces All-Women Music Festival with other A-listers

Olivia Rodrigo announced she’s launching her own music festival, and the lineup is, by all accounts, extraordinary.

The Daisy Chain Fields Festival takes place on August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California and will feature an all-female lineup.

Rodrigo shared the news on social media, making it clear that it’s something she’s been working on for years.

“I’ve never been so excited to share news with you all. I’ve been dreaming of doing this festival for years and I’m so excited that it’s finally happening!!”

The line-up alongside Rodrigo includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Die Spitz, Eli, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not for Radio, with special guests Karen O, Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan also set to appear.

“The lineup is truly crazy and full of my heroes and friends,” Rodrigo wrote.

Beyond the music, the festival has a clear philanthropic objective.

Every penny of net profits will be donated to charities focused on the advancement and advocacy of women and girls, with partners including Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Baby2Baby, the National Women’s Law Center, and the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, among others.

“I firmly believe that joy, community and music can be the drivers of meaningful change and I hope this festival will be just that,” Rodrigo said.

“I absolutely cannot wait to scream, dance and sing with you on August 29th!!!!”

Fans can register for pre-sale access on the festival website.

This announcement comes as Rodrigo is riding the success of his third album. You look pretty sad for a girl so in lovewhich debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making it his third consecutive album to top the chart.
