Amazon Prime Day is upon us, and headphones will roll out of Amazon warehouses like the best brownies at a bake sale — and if the best models sell out, the deal-hungry public will flock to competing retailers.

But I want you to be first in line when the deals come in, and that it’s knowing how to sort the wheat from the chaff. Stick with me, and you’ll never be led astray by a set of unfamiliar (but very lavishly packaged) cans that turn out to be duds released in 2019, still equipped with Bluetooth 4.1 and no app to speak of.
Look, I’m being tough here because I want you to have the right products. The ones I list here are actually the best. And since Amazon Prime Day is one of the biggest sales events on the tech calendar, some discounts are likely (not certain, you understand… but likely).
Here are my three best noise-canceling headphones for iPhone, Android, and audiophiles, along with my advice on pricing. Know it now and bookmark the product page for the coming day(s). You got this!
Not looking for noise canceling cans? It’s no big deal – check out TechRadar’s first Prime Day roundup for the best deals in tech.
1. Silence Bubble Cans for iPhone Users
You may not want to hear this, because trust me, I know Apple’s second-generation headphones launched in March 2026, lacking any major redesigns we might have hoped for.
Here’s the thing: you won’t care about them once they’re on. This is because the ANC is so much better this time. I know because I reviewed them for TechRadar, and their noise-canceling performance is jaw-dropping and head-shaking: “No, you must you lowered your voice, Go on‘ GOOD. Really.
Also great is the new Conversation Awareness feature, which picks up your voice to reduce all other sounds and enable an important conversation much faster than in competing options I’ve tested.
Why are they so good? It’s all about their new H2 chip and its computing magic. They’re also more sonically impactful, and the added goodies (live translation, adaptive audio, head gesture control, and Camera Remote, in short) work seamlessly and with minimal button presses to get you there.
Provided you own an iPhone 15 Pro or newer (i.e. something that supports Apple Intelligence), these features can’t be beat. These are the headphones I use daily. And it’s not even close.
Launch price: $549 / £499 (March 2026)
Prices to look for on Prime Day:
United States: $399 is already online!
UK: As above, look for 10% savings (or £449) compared to Prime Day
2. The cocoon of tranquility for Android owners (which is also device independent)
And now for something a little cheaper and a little older – although a September 2025 launch date still makes them quite relevant and modern, even in the rapidly changing world of Bluetooth audio and wireless headphones.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) are my second most used cans when I need to block out the world. I grab them every time I want to listen to them in “theater” mode (as part of the “immersive” audio offering), but my source material comes from Tidal, for example, because unlike Apple’s AirPods, these headphones will give you top-notch dynamic head-tracked content, regardless of the source device or streaming platform.
And while you also get Lossless from the AirPods Max 2 above, there’s also no sniffing around being able to connect the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) to a music source in order to enjoy truly high-res audio quality – oh, and you also get aptX Adaptive for better quality over Bluetooth, which we loved in our full review of the Bose QCU Headphones (2nd Gen).
OK, the option below this product (and the one above it, although it’s a much closer call) will give you slightly more detail and truer neutrality in your music. But for noise cancellation at this price, these Bose headphones are still unbeatable nine months after release. Bose essentially wrote the book on ANC in the 1970s, and the QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) headphones more than live up to their history.
Launch price: $449 / £449 / AU$699 (September 2025)
Prices to look for on Prime Day:
United States: their lowest price ever, at $379, has just been observed
UK: £399 is the cheapest deal in the UK (but keep your eyes peeled!)
3. The isolation chamber for demanding audiophiles
You want top-notch sound as well as An ANC almost leader in its category? You really need to give the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 your full attention, as we said in our five-star Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 review.
When I want wireless listening that’s as close to wired as I’ve ever heard, with really good noise-canceling performance to boot, I go for these. Plus, these are by far the nicest headphones I’ve ever worn. These are a stylish and timeless set of ears and make no mistake – but on that note, they also launched in September 2025, like the Bose option above.
The B&W are the most expensive headphones in what’s not exactly a bargain, I’ll grant you that – but then again, I’ve mercilessly selected my favorite headphones for this missive. These are the only can sets I would recommend splurging on this Prime Day, as I can personally vouch for their talents.
Honestly, you tend to get what you pay for when it comes to audio – and here you get aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless compatibility, with the option of USB-C wired listening too. Whichever way you choose to listen, I could wax lyrical about the sound quality for days. Just be careful when wearing them on public transportation, because I’ve missed my stop more times than I’d like to admit while wearing these headphones.
Launch price: $799 / £629 (September 2025)
Prices to look for on Prime Day:
US: Anything under $749 (or 6% off) would be the new lowest price ever
UK: Anything under £629 would be the new lowest fare (so stay tuned!)
