The upcoming film will explore the pivotal moments that shaped the actress’ journey before she made her big break on television.
At just 18 years old, Cherry made the difficult decision to escape a hotbed of emotional abuse in Pennsylvania, an exit that ultimately led her to work in the adult film industry.
However, her life trajectory changed dramatically when she was cast as Faye in the second season of Sam Levinson’s acclaimed teen drama series on HBO.
According to the book’s official synopsis, Cherry managed to go from being an outsider in the adult industry to becoming an icon, challenging deeply ingrained societal assumptions about who exactly is allowed into the Hollywood mainstream.
