Oba Femi and Jey Uso kicked off Night of Champions with their King of the Ring final match on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

The winner of the match would get a title shot of their choice at SummerSlam. Femi, who apparently had Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns in the lead before the match, fought with Uso all night. Uso hoped to win the match and face the undisputed WWE Champion and bring another world title to The Bloodline.

Uso made every effort to try and put Femi on his back. He did this near the end of the match with several thrusting kicks, a running shoulder block to Femi’s midsection, a spear, and a Uso Splash. But it was far from enough to put “The Ruler” aside.

Uso’s conquest proved futile.

Femi regained control, knocking Uso to the mat with his raw strength. Femi hit Fall from Grace and pinned Uso to win the match and become king of the ring.

“It feels so good to go from being ‘Ruler’ to being a king,” Femi said in his post-match promo. “Jey Uso didn’t understand what he was up against tonight. He thought he was just fighting a man. You might be able to beat a man, but you can’t beat destiny and you can’t beat destiny and, more importantly, you can’t beat me.

“I am the ruler, the destroyer, the bringer of war, the mountain you cannot climb, the mountain you cannot conquer, the one, the slayer of beasts, the chosen one, the king of the ring, Oba Femi!”

Femi will now have to decide who he will attack.

Reigns might make the better choice since both are Raw superstars. But Sami Zayn won the undisputed WWE Championship in a triple threat match against Cody Rhodes and Gunther later that night.
