- Alogic Folio Duo offers a dual QHD portable monitor setup that works with both MacBooks and Windows laptops

Portable monitors are not a new concept, with most products offering a huge improvement in screen size, resolution, or both compared to the desktops, laptops, or MacBooks they connect to.
However, some, like the Alogic Folio Duo, go even further while doubling the screen real estate, and its foldable design, combined with a built-in cover stand, makes it a much easier solution to deploy and transport than many of its peers.
With a dual QHD setup coupled with a 400 nit display, the Folio Duo outperforms most of the devices it will inevitably be connected to, and considerably so, while weighing around 1.2kg.
A high-end portable dual monitor offer
The Alogic Folio Duo first appeared at InfoComm 2026, billed as a premium dual-monitor offering for professionals who simply need more screen real estate without adding as much volumetric footprint as some of its peers.
Alogic’s offering includes two IPS panels rated for 100% sRGB color accuracy, with a native resolution of 2560 x 2880 (or 2560 x 1440 per display). Potential gamers, however, might be disappointed by the relatively moderate 60Hz refresh rate, but it could be argued that most wouldn’t be looking for a dual-monitor portable setup to begin with.
Like most of its peers, the Folio Duo offers USB-C connectivity but goes a step further by adding a USB-PD input for an optional power source and a USB-C port for the device it connects to, allowing it to charge a MacBook or Windows laptop at up to 45W via a USB-C passthrough.
Alogic offers a generous 2-year warranty for the unit and lists device compatibility that includes Apple, Chromebook, and Microsoft devices, with the package including a monitor cover in the box, while ignoring the active pressure-sensitive style the company sells, even though it does integrate wireless charging into the package.
The fact that it’s one of the first dual-screen portable offerings to support full gesture control and 10-point multitouch on Mac and Windows might underscore the ambitious price the portable monitor currently commands: a whopping $1,299, which makes it rival the recently upgraded 13.6-inch Apple MacBook Air (M5), a computer in its own right.
For those who can afford it, however, the Folio Duo appears to be a premium portable dual-monitor offering with significantly better resolution (and PPI), colors, and build quality than the UPerfect Delta Max Touch we recently reviewed, albeit at more than twice the asking price.
