EastEnders Star Natalie Cassidy was left devastated after her nine-year-old daughter was rushed to hospital following a serious injury.
Cassidy, known for her role as Sonia Fowler in the long-running BBC soap EastEndersrecently detailed the incident on her Life with Nat podcast. The 43-year-old British actress revealed that her daughter Joanie, who she shares with fiancé Marc Humphreys, recently broke her arm after slipping in the hallway before a PE class at school.
Cassidy said she had a “nervous breakdown” as her daughter underwent the operation just weeks after having surgery on the same arm. She said, “Same arm, broken into pieces. General anesthetic, same operation.”
“I’m speechless. It’s so traumatic,” Cassidy added when describing her situation after hearing about Joanie’s arm.
She continued: “I wasn’t in a good position. Just her little body – and the drugs and the trauma of it all.”
She shared that all of her daughter’s blood tests were “absolutely perfect,” however, she was tested for “some kind of deficiency” that could make her more vulnerable to bone injuries.
The update comes months after Cassidy made headlines for his support of proposed restrictions on social media use among children under 16, after being “horrified” by what the algorithm shows children.
