Princess Kate, who underwent cancer treatment for nine months after her diagnosis in 2024, shared how difficult the journey was and praised the support she received from her family.
The Princess of Wales had reduced her duties amid her convalescence, but two years later she fully resumed her royal role. Even though Catherine gave some insight into her cancer journey, some emotional aspects remained hidden from the public.
Kate recently took on the Three Peaks challenge, which she said was a personal decision after her health scare. Kate’s brother has revealed an emotional promise he made to the princess in hospital in the hope of her full recovery.
“I’m incredibly proud of my darling sister,” James wrote alongside a cute carousel message with heartwarming family moments.
“Two years ago, I told you we would climb this mountain together,” he continued. “We talked about climbing mountains while you were in hospital and the incredible healing power that nature can have for the body and mind, so it was such an honor to join you for your Three Peaks Challenge for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.”
He praised Catherine and the many roles she has taken on: “Seeing how far she has come is nothing short of inspiring. Your strength, resilience and determination, while being the most extraordinary mother, wife, daughter and sister, inspires me and so many others every day.”
