United Kingdom (UK) Reform leader Nigel Farage has resigned as a British MP during his ‘Future in Public Life’ statement on Tuesday 7 July 2026.
The 62-year-old politician announced his intention to contest the ‘people against the establishment’ by-election in Clacton-on-Sea, adding it would give voters in his constituency a chance to raise a finger at the establishment.
It comes after the former MP faced scrutiny following a series of donations scandals. Farage insisted he had done nothing wrong, adding: “I will fight to continue the political revolution that the Reform Party started. »
He branded the allegations against him as outright lies while accusing the establishment of using vile means to beat Reform UK. Farage maintained he had not broken any laws or misused public money.
The politician expressed his deep anger at the “harassment of his family” by the media. He said: “I will not tolerate bullying from my family. »
Reports suggest the string of donations scandals involves the funding of convicted security and personnel criminal George Cottrell, a long-time ally, a year before Farage was elected to public office.
The British reform leader was already under investigation for a $6.69 million gift received from crypto-billionaire Christopher Harborne.
