The professional wrestling landscape is so vast that no one can really look at it all.

Major companies like WWE and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) hold shows up to four times a week. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) airs a show on Thursday nights and Major League Wrestling (MLW) airs its flagship show on Saturdays on YouTube. Not to mention the international programs and independent shows also broadcast during the week.

WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield named a handful of wrestlers fans should really watch out for during their viewing experience in a recent interview with PK Press Club Digital.

“I saw ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey in AEW who is just an incredible talent. Josh Alexander is the same,” he said. “There’s a guy, Will Allday, in Texas, who works for the independents. I watched him there. Every time he comes out, he fires up the local crowd – to my knowledge, I have no TV experience. I think there’s a lot of young talent.”

“I’ve never seen so much talent in wrestling. Back in the Attitude Era, we had a really loaded roster. WCW had a really loaded roster. The independents didn’t have a loaded roster,” he said. “They just picked and chose.

“Now you go to these independent shows and these guys are fantastic. I guess it’s the training. It’s how many schools they have. How much learning they can get. Now look at wrestling, there’s so much talent and it’s so deep. It’s amazing where the business is right now.”
