France overwhelmed teams with volume and star power throughout the tournament. That’s 14 goals in five matches, and Mbappé has scored seven himself while leading France in shots on target and chances created. Even in the narrower win over Paraguay, the French attack continued to turn to him as an outlet whenever the match was crowded.
Morocco has the necessary personnel to make this duel a real fight and not a formality. Hakimi created 12 chances in the tournament and did much more than defend on that end. Pin him for 90 minutes and Morocco lose one of their best transitional weapons. Let him advance properly, and France must defend the space he leaves behind.
Look at the first times France largely isolated Mbappé. That will tell you if Morocco can contain him without breaking the rest of their form.
