PM proposes to resume conferences with PTI, form committee

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his desire to resume talks with Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) and proposed the training of a parliamentary committee to resolve the current issues.

During a meeting of the federal firm, the PM Sharif recalled the previous talks with PTI, which began with the formation of a committee after the offer of PTI.

He mentioned that the PTI had submitted written requests through the president, to which the government committee was to respond in writing. However, the scheduled meeting of January 28 was canceled by PTI.

PM Sharif stressed that it was only logical to respond in writing to written requests. He recalled that after the 2018 elections, when the opposition entered the Parliament with black armbands, Immisite primary then Imran Khan had initiated the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate concerns related to elections . PM Sharif noted that PTI has never formed a judicial commission but rather a committee.

Earlier in the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif honored the sacrifices of Pakistani soldiers who were martyred while fighting terrorists at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stressing the duty of the nation to honor the fallen heroes.

In his speech, the Prime Minister also welcomed the State Bank’s decision to reduce the policy rate by 1%, declaring that a greater drop would have been beneficial for businesses and industries. It expressed its optimism about the country’s growth and development and development.

Prime Minister Sharif also addressed the issue of human trafficking, expressing a deep concern about the loss of hundreds of Pakistani lives due to illegal smuggling operations.

He assured that the government focused on eradicating human trafficking and would not rest as long as those responsible were held responsible.
