LeBron James’ decision to choose his next destination after saying goodbye to the Lakers is causing a buzz on social media.
Recent speculation suggests that James could end up signing with one of the following teams for his 24th NBA season: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers.
The latest one made headlines, with potential clues dropped by King James’ agent Rich Paul and top NBA insider Shams Charania.
Charania during her recent appearance on the podcast show Straight shooterhosted by Stephen A. Smith, claimed that King James takes the 76ers “very seriously” as a potential landing spot.
However, a final statement from Eagles star Saquon Barkley has sparked speculation again: whether James could have made his decision. Where would he land next?
At a football camp at Haddonfield High School in New Jersey, Barkley responded when asked about his offer to LeBron to join the 76ers.
“I think it’s one of the greatest sports cities in the world,” Barkley responded.
“I know Josh Hart said otherwise. I saw this today on Twitter, but I don’t agree with him.
“If you want to go out with a bang, I feel like a good place would be in Philadelphia, and by bringing a championship to Philadelphia, you’ll be remembered forever,” Barkley added.
The former New York Giants icon signed with the Eagles in 2024 and led them to the Super Bowl with a 2,005-yard season, which ended with the franchise’s second Super Bowl title.
King James, 41, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has won four career championships: two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cavaliers and one with the LA Lakers.
