We really rate the Shark CryoGlow LED Face Mask, giving it four and a half stars out of five in our Shark CryoGlow review. Our only real issue was the relatively short battery life. So we’re happy to see a newer version with more endurance and even better facial coverage. Say hello to the Shark CryoGlow Plus, which promises to deliver everything we loved about the original with a few significant improvements.
As before, the CryoGlow Plus uses three types of LED light: blue, red and deep infrared. Coverage has been improved by 120% around the crow’s feet area in this new model and it is also more energy efficient.
Shark CryoGlow Pro: main features and price
The CryoGlow Plus features Shark’s InstaChill Cold technology, which provides two active cooling points to help soothe the under-eye area. The mask’s Under-Eye Revive mode has three cooling levels and you can use it alone or with one of the LED modes.
There are three LED modes: Best Aging mode, which is a six-minute treatment using deep red and infrared light; Blemish Repair mode, which is an eight-minute three-phase routine using blue and deep infrared before finishing with red LED light; and Skin Sustain Mode, which is a four-minute maintenance treatment using red, blue and deep infrared.
Back when we used the original CryoGlow, we were impressed with its performance, with the important caveat that your mileage may vary as everyone’s skin is different. We particularly liked the InstaChill feature, which really de-puffed the under-eye area. Provided you continue to use the mask, we have found it to be the best alternative to regular, professional skincare.
The CryoGlow Plus is only slightly more expensive than its predecessor: its list price was $349 / £299 / AU$699, while the CryoGlow Plus costs £339 in the UK. US and Australian pricing has yet to be announced, but it works out to be around $459 / AU$655 before taxes and duties.
The CryoGlow Plus will officially launch on July 29, but you can pre-order it now from SharkNinja.co.uk and John Lewis. It will be available in two shades, Pastel Berry and Pastel Dusk.
