PML-N reviews election strategy, orders door-to-door campaign and mobilization of supporters across region

MUZAFFARABAD:

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leadership on Friday held a key consultative meeting with party leaders to review arrangements for the upcoming visit of party President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to the region, as well as arrangements for election rallies.

The participants decided that Nawaz would address two major election rallies in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur during his visit to AJK. CM Maryam is also expected to accompany him at the two public rallies.

The meeting reviewed the party’s electoral campaign, organizational coordination, rallies modalities and overall electoral strategy. The leadership asked party members to further intensify the campaign by launching a massive door-to-door awareness campaign and mobilizing its supporters across the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam said that PML-N would run a vigorous election campaign in AJK, adding that resolving public issues and ensuring development and prosperity of the region remained the party’s top priorities.

He said the PML-N government had carried out several major development projects in AJK and noted that the Prime Minister had announced the establishment of Daanish schools in the territory without any formal request from the AJK government.

Muqam stressed the need for speedy, free and transparent elections, describing them as the most effective way to resolve the public’s problems. He said the PML-N leadership had a long-standing commitment to the people of Kashmir and had always stood by them in difficult times.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed confidence that the party would achieve victory in the AJK general elections on July 27, 2026 based on its public service record, development agenda and governance performance.

The meeting was attended by Advisor to Prime Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah, Muqam, PML-N President AJK Shah Ghulam Qadir, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa General Secretary Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Abdul Rehman Arain, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, party candidates from various constituencies, local government officials and workers.
