The Connecticut Sun Dijonai Carrington Player prompted ferocious backlash by wearing an anti-Trump shirt last weekend, and now it goes even further this message.
At a press conference before a “unrivaled” championship match on Thursday, Carrington said it was time for WNBA players to “take measures” in response to President Donald Trump policies.
“We see that some of the policies are already in action, and, of course, it means that as WNBA and be at the forefront of many movements, it is time for us to take action,” said Carrington.
“This must definitively happen as women, the rights of women who are removed, for example, now, LGBTQ rights are removed now. They have not yet arrived, but certainly in preparation.”

Carrington wore a shirt that said: “The F — Donald Trump tour on Friday when entering Wayfair Arena in Miami, Florida.
The player is best known for his interactions with the women’s basketball phenomenon Caitlin Clark During the Clark recruit season, WnBA in 2024.
Carrington gave Clark a black eye after pushing it during a match between Clark fever in Indiana and Carrington Connecticut in the first round of the playoffs in September. Carrington laughed with the teammate of Marina Mabrey fever after the incident.

Carrington said that she had not intentionally fucked up Clark in her eyes and that she did not laugh at the incident. However, she shed light on the controversy on Clark Black Eye in an Instagram video live in October.
In the video, Carrington and her girlfriend, Nalyssa Smith, who plays on Indiana fever with Clark, were in their kitchen when Smith pushed Carrington into the eyes.
“Ow, you pushed me in the eyes,” said Carrington. Smith apologized and both laughed.
“Have you done it on purpose?” Carrington asked.

Carrington provoked Clark fans before the glance incident with several statements repressing Clark and its fans base.
During a match in June, Carrington increased Clark after Clark received an incoming pass from his teammate Kristy Wallace. Clark caught the collar and started to the basket. Carrington was late in Clark due to an Aliyah Boston screen, and she came across Clark.
Later this month, Carrington Posted on XSaying that Clark should do more to talk about people who use his name for “racism” and other forms of prejudice. She also called fever fans’ “gone” the league.
