The Indiana football player chooses to join Barstool Sports Over Declating for the draft of the NFL: “ It’s my thing ”

After playing six years at the University of Indiana, Mike Katic decided to put his dreams from the NFL alongside.

After initially declared for the draft of the NFL last year, then returning for its last year of eligibility, the former center decided to join Barstool Sports as a personality and media analyst.

“I’m pumped. That’s what I think I was born to do,” said Katic on “The Yak” with Dan “Big Cat” Katz. “Football is great, but I think it’s my thing. So I’m super excited to settle here.”

Katic does not officially start to work before March 1, but he visited Jon Gruden, recently hired by the site, in the barstool offices. And they had about as much greeting as he was predicted to a superb champion coach and a six -year -old star from the University.

“Barstool has our new center and I already like it!” Gruden declared on X when publishing a video of their first interaction.

Immediately after shaking hands, Gruden asked Katic to get into his position as a line player, and both shared another handshake and a hug.

Katic seemed to refer to his days of play after the defeat of the playoffs of university football of the Hoosiers against Notre Dame when he posted on X: “Thank you to the University of Indiana. Thank you football.”

Katic was probably a late selection if he had been taken at all. Pro Football Focus ranked Katic as the 10th best Power Four conference center.

Katic said he was hired quickly after Dave Portnoy saw him in “three media clips” after being connected by a member of the male basketball team from Hosiers.

The native of Pittsburgh will work at the Barstool Chicago office after playing in 50 games for the Hoosiers.
