Ring has announced two all-new smart security cameras, one to mount outdoors and one to install in the peephole of your door.

Let’s start with the exterior option. The new Ring outdoor camera (2nd generation) is available in wired and battery versions. It has a wide-angle lens (140 degrees horizontal and 85 degrees vertical) and offers 2K resolution with an enhanced zoom of up to 6x. It has B&W night vision, customizable privacy zones and motion detection, and you can talk to visitors via Live View and Two-Way Talk. If you subscribe to Ring Protect, you can also receive smart alerts and the ability to go back in time to review footage. Wi-Fi is single-band Wi-Fi 4 using the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
