Buckingham Palace has released a major update on King Charles following Meghan Markle’s bold move, which has sparked a new conversation.
The royal family’s official Instagram page has released a series of photos from the Glasgow 2026 opening ceremony.
The images showed the monarch, Queen Camilla and Prince Edward enjoying the event.
The statement read: “An incredible evening in Glasgow!
“The King and Queen, alongside the Duke of Edinburgh, attended the opening ceremony of @Glasgow_2026 ahead of 11 days of sport which will see more than 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories compete across 10 sports and six parasports.
“Good luck to everyone and thank you for such a joyous start to the Games.”
The post came after Meghan Markle gave fans a rare glimpse into her trip to the UK with Prince Harry.
One photo, featuring Harry, Archie and Lilibet, was apparently taken at Arthrop, Princess Diana’s childhood home.
The Duchess of Sussex was said to have sent a message that she could not be ‘controlled’ after reports emerged that King Charles had set strict conditions for a future reconciliation.
