A government convoy carrying negotiators for a cease-fire between two rival tribes to Upper Kurram was the subject of shots, which left the deputy commissioner of the locality, Saeed Manan, injured.
According to the officer of the station house, the district administration had managed to negotiate a ceasefire in Upper Kurram, but while a convoy was on the way to talk to the other faction when ‘He was attacked.

In response, the district administration has tightened security measures in the region. Meanwhile, a Jirga (tribal council) is underway at the commissioner’s office in Kurram.
Meanwhile, around 66 individuals stranded in Kurram due to the recent troubles have been successfully evacuated.
Based on the recommendations of former premises, 66 people, including women and children, were safely relocated to a safe area of Teri Mangal, where they had been trapped due to the current violence.
