The wife of a Delaware skating coach says she “lost” after learning that her husband was One of the victims Killed when an American Airlines plane collided outdoors with an army helicopter in Washington, DC on Wednesday evening.

“We are husband and woman,” she said at the station. “We have decided who is going, who remains at home,” she said. “We decided that he would go to the development camp.”

Kirsanov, 46, was one of the 67 people killed when the American Airlines 5342 flight and a Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter collided near Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 p.m.

The president of the University of Delaware, Dennis Assanis, published on Thursday a statement confirming that Kirsanov, former university figure skating coach, was one of the victims of the accident on Wednesday.
