The wave of protest activities took place across the country with the largest demonstration held outside the national press club Islamabad, where journalists raised the black flag on the club’s roof, raised slogans against The PECA Act and have given inflamed speeches criticizing the government for having used a law to stifle freedom of expression.

Addressing the protest rally, the president of the PFUJ, Afzal Butt, described the law of the PECA a black law, adding that PFUJ will hold protest gatherings daily and stabbed the protest movement at every corner and corner of the country .
