The High Court of Lahore (LHC) refused a request for suspension immediately certain sections of the bill for modifying the PECA 2025, requesting the responses of the competent authorities on a petition contesting the constitutionality of the law. Judge Farooq Haider, while presiding over the case, noted that a decision would only be made after hearing all the parties concerned. The judge subsequently published opinions to the respondents, ordering them to submit their answers within three weeks. The petition was deposited by Jaffar Bin Yar through his lawyer lawyer Nadeem Sarwar, respondents, including the Pakistan Federation through the Ministry of Law and Cabinet, the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications Technologies , and the PTA through its president.
