Karachi:

An office superintendent of Government College for Women, Nazimabad, would have escaped with a huge sum of money which he had received as fees for students.

The director of the college, Professor Shehla Bashir, reported the case to the Rizvia police, who later recorded a case against the fleeing superintendent.

The director informed the police three days ago, the college staff approached her and informed that the students visited the administration office to recover their admission cards which were to be issued by the Superintendent, but they did not get their intake cards. Later, “I learned that the Nafees made it possible to collect liquidity decreasing to Rs910,200 with around 81 students as examination costs,” said Professor Shehla, adding, Nafees also collected Money directly with students for other works instead of directing students to drop the same thing at the bank.

Following complaints, an opinion was filed with the board of directors of the college in October 2024, warning students and parents not to give money to any staff for any reason and to obtain good banking instead.

The director was informed by the students that Nafees was last seen in college on January 25.
