A police officer injured in an attack on the assistant commissioner of Kurram died of his injuries.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, lawyer Dr Saif, visited the combined military hospital (CMH) in Peshawar on Thursday evening.

He was accompanied by the chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and the IG police, Zulfiqar Hamid, reported Express News.

The delegation visited the deputy commissioner Saeed Minan, who was injured during a dismissal incident in the Kurram district, and expressed his good wishes for his rapid recovery.

Earlier, advisor to KHYBER-PAKHTUNKHWA, Minister of Information, Lawyer, Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, addressed a Grand Jirga to the commissioner’s office in Kohat, reaffirming the government’s commitment to restore peace in the Kurram district.

He stressed that the current conflict is not a religious or sectarian question but the result of hatred.

SAIF has urged all stakeholders to recognize the devastating consequences of violence, stressing that no external force is responsible for the loss of lives and goods, it is the internal divisions that fueled this crisis.

He stressed that war and hatred only bring destruction and that real progress can only be made by putting hate aside and adopting unity.
