The preliminary results suggest that the driver’s error may have played a role in the derailment of the Shalimar Express in Lahore, according to rail sources.
An inquiry committee for four members was formed, including the assistant chief engineer bridge, the mechanical assistant chief engineer, the deputy chief engineer Carriage and the deputy director of security.
The investigation team has collected evidence, carried out in -depth inspections of the railways and bridges and examined video surveillance images. The statements of the driver of the train, the guards, the eyewitnesses and other staff members were also registered.
