The Minister of the Interior, Mohin Naqvi, and the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met in Islamabad on Sunday to discuss the “attitude” of the party of Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) of Pakistan during the recent interviews on government opposition. The two leaders deliberated on questions of mutual interest and the global situation in the country, according to Radio Pakistan.

Naqvi praised the efforts of Sadiq speaker to promote dialogue between the benches of the treasure and opposition. The two officials expressed their satisfaction with the improvement of the country’s economic conditions. The couple also discussed government initiatives to solve public problems.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif previously blamed PTI for the failure of the negotiations, citing the rupture in three sessions. However, he reiterated that the ruling party was still open to continuous talks.

Meanwhile, the president of the PTI, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, rejected the Prime Minister’s offer for new negotiations, saying that the government was responsible for the collapse of talks.

“We had only made two requests: the release of political prisoners and the training of judicial commissions for the events of May 9 and November 26,” said Gohar. “The government has closed the door for talks by not accepting these requests.”

The dead end between the government and the PTI continues while the two parties maintain contrasting opinions on the path to follow.
