The Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Information Technologies (TI) and telecommunications were informed Tuesday that the process to launch the Internet Starlink services in Pakistan was almost finished and that the service would be available in the country of Here June of this year.

Regarding the creation of a computer park in Karachi, officials of the IT ministry said that 6 billion rupees had been allocated to the project this year, but the amount could not be used because it was still in the design phase . Another member of the committee, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, underlined the non-periode of the Islamabad IT Park project for a long time. Ministry officials said that a Korean company was working on the project. The president said that the committee would visit the project after the next meeting.
The president asked the ministry to accelerate work on the Personal Data Protection Bill. During the meeting, the president of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) informed the committee concerning speed and internet connectivity. He said the PTA had generated 1,700 billion rupees of rupees over the past 6 years, the government has not invested a single roupie in this sector for several years.
