The dust continues to settle in the days that followed the shocking trade which sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers officially welcomed the 25 -year -old Tuesday. Meanwhile, Anthony Davis and Max Christie continue to settle in their new environment with the Mavericks.
The Slovenian basketball superstar won its first score title last season, before leading the MAVS to the NBA final. Dononic is also an all-NBA selection five times and an All-Star five times.

In the midst of his reaction to the successful agreement, the former owner of the minority of the Golden State Warriors and venture capital Chamath Palihapitiya gave an overview of his decision to sell his participation in the NBA franchise.
Palihapitiya revealed that the decision was partially revolving around its conviction that the League would soon be forced to face a serious competitor.
“I sold my property in the Warriors last year, in part because I was almost sure that competition for the NBA arrived at Liv Golf vs PGA,” wrote Palihapitiya in an answer on X, formerly known Under the name of Twitter, to a message from the lawyer based in Texas, Adam Loewy.

Loewy quoted Chris Kratovil, another lawyer, who offered an analysis of monumental commerce involving Doncic. The lawyer hypothesized that the decision of the MAV to pass from Doncic is part of a hypothetical strategy to maintain a sufficient lever effect to potentially move the Texas franchise if the State does not ultimately legalize the sports game.
Mark Cuban sold his interest in the Mavericks in 2023 to the family of Miriam Adelson. The family has a casino business. Cuban has remained as owner of the minority, but he is no longer involved in daily basketball operations.

Palihapitiya also suggested that LeBron James should be the favorite choice, if the speculative competitor ever materializes.

James’ trusted trading partner, Maverick Carter, continues $ 5 billion in investors to launch a new basketball league outside North America, Front Office Sports reported. James would not be involved in the international signs of the basketball league.
After an influx of apparent telephone calls, Palihapitiya did another article on X which described what an international basketball league which contributes directly with the NBA could cause.
Donic reacted to trade, saying that he was initially in a state of disbelief. “You can imagine how surprised I was,” said Donic on Tuesday. “I had to check if it was April 1. I didn’t really believe it.”
The superstar started to recover after its first two days in Los Angeles, and it is more and more excited by a new chapter with James and the Lakers.

“It was a big shock,” said Donic. “(Dallas) was at home, so it was really difficult moments for me. … (But now) I can play in the biggest club in the world, and I am excited for this new trip.”
