Mojang Studios shared the details for MinecraftThe last update of public tests.
Before the release of MinecraftFirst content update of 2025, the developer has described several features that he will add to the game but can now be tested via the latest Java.
As detailed in the latest blog article, among these new features are two new cow variants, including a cold cow, which “brings a comfortable with them wherever they go” thanks to their soft coat and are in cold biomes, as well as in the hot cow Auburn which can be found around sandy biomes.
Mojang also continues to implement new foliage to bring MinecraftThe world of sandbox with life. With the new update, players will discover the “Bush Firefly” which will cause fireflies dancing at night, illuminating dark areas. The fire bush is found in swamps and water bodies and players will also be able to bury them in other blocks to make them sparkle.
Another new plant, simply called “bush”, was also added to the game, a fairly banal tuft of greenery which can be found in germination in the forests, birch forests, plains, hills swept by the wind and D ‘Other green biomes.
Finally, even more ambient sounds are presented to the game, this time to desert biomes.
“The next time you surf on the dunes of the desert biomes, bullets and hot cows will not be the only things heard stirring in the sand banks,” said Mojang. “Listen to the sand whispers and other new ambient desert sounds from sand clusters and terracotta blocks. The dead bush will also carry the chirles of crickets, the rustling twigs and the howling winds while you are traveling on this large field.
“You can also bring the soothing sounds of the deserts to your own versions by placing the dead bush on two blocks of sand outside, or by grouping several blocks of sand or terracotta together.”
These new features, alongside the six new gameplay features that were added last month, are now available in Minecraft: Java edition.
For players interested in testing the update, everything they have to do is activate snapshots to Minecraft: Java editionor by allowing the previews / beta to Minecraft: Foundation edition.
