Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the Honhahar scholarship scholarship program for students from other provinces, Express News reported.
During a meeting, Maryam Nawaz, during the presidency of the session, asked to increase the number of laptops to 110,000 for students in Punjab and also directed the creation of a line of assistance dedicated to beneficiaries of the scholarship program.
The chief minister also extended the scholarship program to students from other provinces, setting the same eligibility criteria as for Punjab students. To receive a laptop at Punjab, a minimum of 65% eligibility has been set.
Maryam Nawaz stressed that the stock market and the portable computers program are the rights of each child and the responsibility of the government.
She said that the education and development of young people are the real investments for the nation, expressing her desire for each child to receive a laptop.
She added that the scholarship and laptops are also the law of students from other provinces, including Azad Cashmere, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balutchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
She also noticed that any student who meets the merit standard should be able to apply for good colleges, the government covering the costs. “I think like a mother and I want to change the fate of each child,” she said. Punjab scholarships will be maintained for students from other provinces.
She assured that there would be no obstacle to the financing of any plan for students. The meeting also approved a VC conference and a day -to -day technological exhibition in Punjab.
