Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of the head of Jeu-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad on Thursday, in a goodwill gesture to find out about the health of the latter.

Beyond the health check, Reunion also offered the two leaders the opportunity to engage in discussions on crucial national and political issues. The talks highlighted the importance of dialogue and collaboration to solve the urgent problems facing the country.

In an important political development, the visit follows a recent invitation from PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf) to Jeu-F, calling for a joint movement against the current government.

PTI leaders, including Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Salman Akram Raja and Akhunzada Hussain, met Maulana Fazlur Rehman to extend the offer. The delegation urged JUI-F to collaborate in efforts to challenge the government.

In response, Rehman assured the representatives of the PTI that his party would consult internally before deciding on the issue. This marks a potential change in political alliances, the two parties discussing the possibility of working together in the future.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar while the chief Jui-F appreciated the visit of the PM and thanked him for his concern.
