Young Telemundo sports journalist Adan Manzano died in New Orleans during the Super Bowl mission

Sports journalist Adan Manzano died in New Orleans, the host city of the Super Bowl Lix. He was 27 years old.

Manzano went to New Orleans to cover KBKC, the AffiliĆ© de Telemundo de Kansas City and Tico Sports. Steve Downing, the director general of KBKC, said that Manzano’s body had been located in his hotel room on Wednesday evening. A cause of death was not immediately provided.

KBKC published a statement offering condolences to the relatives of Manzano. The station has also confirmed its full cooperation with the authorities in the death, via a declaration published on its social media platform.

“Adan was a real professional and a rising star, who illustrated excellence in his work. We will deeply miss Adan and his passion for sport, and the contributions he made to the local community,” said Telemundo Declaration 39. “Our thoughts and sincere condolences go to his family and loved ones during this difficult period.”

Manzano’s wife, Ashleigh Boyd, died in a car accident last year in Kansas.
