The ongoing protest of Hyderabad lawyers has caused major traffic disturbances, in particular affecting key roads connecting Karachi, Punjab and Rural Sindh.
The demonstration, which started at Wadhu Wah Gate on the bypass of Hyderabad, led to a complete stop of traffic.
The demonstration caused significant disruptions on the key bypass connecting the Karachi-Hyderabad motorway to the national motorway, creating queues of long vehicles and leaving passengers blocked and in distress.
The demonstration stems from a legal dispute between the local police and the lawyer of lawyers, following the registration of a case against Ali Raza defender of the use of a false license plate.
Lawyers demanded the transfer of SSP Hyderabad Farukh Lanjhar and the dismissal of the Bhittai Nagar police station.
They also want the case of fraud against the lawyer of lawyers to be withdrawn.
As the manifestation intensified, traffic disturbance affected not only daily shuttles but also distance travelers, causing significant drawbacks and delays.

The main lawyers, including lawyer Sajjad Ahmed Chandio, argued that the question was aimed at respecting the rule of law, not just a question between the police and the lawyers.
Lawyer KB Lutf Ali Laghari warned that lawyers could initiate a national movement, similar to that of 2007 for the restoration of former chief judge Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, if their request for dismissal of SSP Lanjar is not satisfied .
On the other hand, the Sindh police insisted to solve the problem by legal means. They proposed a judicial investigation, supervised by the district session judge in Hyderabad, to investigate the case.
Despite these efforts, the demonstration continues to remain strong, the two parties standing in their positions.
The police argue that the FIR is part of a repression against vehicles with fanciful plates, tinted windows and police lights, with around 50 FIR recently deposited for similar offenses.
However, lawyers reject this explanation, saying that it was a personal reprisals of SSP Lanjar after the vehicle surpassing.
Earlier Wednesday, district police officials responded to the lawyer’s protest in the SSP office by submitting leave requests, effectively renouncing their accusations of police stations and various police units.
The information secretary of the Sindh of the Pakistani peoples party, former senator Aajiz Dhamrah, visited the demonstrators on Thursday evening. He sat with them on the road and patiently listened to the lawyer Laghari told the lawyers’ complaints.
